010: la semaine



01: The hectic week is over! The presentation went well and I can finally breathe! Well, for a while. Now I need to finish the essay for it, then also write my biology coursework and also write a Harry Potter panto for my school (hopefully my friends will HELP!). Then of course there's resits for my exams to revise for so I'm officially banning myself from blogging for the next month (this won't last). I might blog in my revision breaks so keep your eyes peeled? :D

02: IT'S SO COLD. Oh my goodness, it snowed here today for the first time and I was so happy! Snow is so beautiful and I just love watching a flurry of white falling from the sky. However the cold is sometimes unbearably. I seriously need some THICK socks asap! My feet and hands keep freezing!

03: Harry Potter. I was gobsmacked. It was amazing, I laughed, I cried (if you've watched it I'm sure you know which scene I'm talking about) and I just seriously enjoyed it. It was wonderfully made and the acting was superb from everyone's parts. All the main scenes that you remember from the book were put into the film and perfected. They were all JUST how I imagined it (except I wish they put in the scene with Dudley where he says "I don't think you're a waste of space". That's my only criticism.) and I really loved it. So much that I watched it again on Friday. Bliss.

04: I've been doing some drawing as you can see above. If I get time to make clothes I'll be making them, the main aspect of them is the embellishments. I want to cover the pieces with beads, sequins and those mirror pieces. Tell me what you think of them? (Also that drawing of the woman with the long dress and drapey sleeves is inspired by Hercules- you know the Gospel Choir? I LOVE THEM!)

05: Yesterday I popped into a lot of charity shops. There was one that had some BEAUTIFUL clothes but for some reason I didn't get any. However I got this really cool watering-can-clock that I put on a chain and made into a necklace. The clock doesn't work anymore but I did change the time to when I bought it. My dad and I also bought these bookends which look so beautiful. They look so antique and really finish the room.

Well that's about it. I have some guests coming round who I'm very excited to see and then LOT'S of work to get on with. I'll make sure to film the panto and show you guys. ALSO aloha to all you new followers! <3

It's my presentation today! And I'm all faffed about my future so I may not blog for a while! May take an outfit today.

Also just found out there's been a huge accident in Canterbury so I maayy be stuck-
HOLY MOTHER nearly missed my bus. Don't blog while walking peeps!! Ok anyway wish me luck that I don't fall, trip, sneeze, hiccup or faint while doing it!

WISHLIST: feat. Topshop

Ohhhmyyygaaaa. That first bag is true love. It's stunning. I am definitely asking for that for christmas and the jumper too probably. It looks so cosy and oatmeal-y, I could eat it up! And at £38, that's not TOO bad!
The next two are an obvious theme, the peter pan collar. I'm seriously loving them but I don't own any dresses/tops with them! I really need to add those two in my wardrobe, the rust colour is gorgeous on the first one and the embellishments on the collar of the second one  makes me so excited! I LOVE embellishments as you will see in my next post. I've been drawing countless amounts of designs and nearly all of them have some sort of embellishment!

The second row are basics that I'd love to own. They're the kind of pieces you could throw on everyday. I especially love the grid-detail dress and it's colour and the trousers! I put in the tshirts on my list because I hardly own any nice ones! I find it hard to pay a lot for a tshirt but I really should invest in some. I bought some transfer paper yesterday from ASDA (only £3!!!) so I'll be making some of my own first! I think the Keep Calm and Whip your hair back and forth sign is sheer genius so I think I NEED a tshirt with that on it. Anyway back to the list, I love the tshirt with the feathers but the photo tshirt is definately my favourite! I'd love to throw that on over skinny jeans, wedges/flats and a nice bag. Serious casual-wear!

I have my presentation rehearsal tomorrow. I'm feeling pretty good because in my mini practices with myself I'm surprised at how much I just...KNOW..without even looking at the cards! I'm very impressed with myself but I can't wait till this is over and I can sit down and just study for my resits. My plan is to ignore most work given to me right now and just focus on AS work, and also to work on our school pantomime. This year I suggested Harry Potter and me and few others have to write the script! The teachers have been cast brilliantly and I'm excited but we still need to make a good plot. So I'm busybusybusy and may not have MUCH time for this blog :(

AND I NEED TO FIX THE STUPID COMMENT FORM! Whenever I comment it overlaps with the previous comment, anyone help?! Or give me the basic blogger comment html? It's so annoying ><

Wrap up warm


All Primark except necklace: ASOS

Major Primark love, clearly! I must say the parka is very different to what I was looking for, just because it's basically around 4cm thick! It's basically padded and it's like a duvet-coat. It makes me look like a puffball but I don't care because it's so damn cosy. The dress was a basic that I bought ages ago but the boots are a new one! FINALLY I have new boots! My last ones are practically in shreds and after walking in the rain and having my feet feel numb I decided I had to buy new ones and let them go. I was initially going to buy a lovely pair from Fenwick's which was £49 but it was real leather and I was worried it might get ruined. Nonetheless this one feels fabulous, the leather feels buttery soft and smooth and it was only £20! I really love them and their colour makes them a bit more versatile.

I'm seriously freaking out about my EPQ presentation. I hate presentations but afterwards I look back and think "What on earth was I worrying about?". UGH the thing is one part of me is saying "dude calm the heck down" while the other is "OMG YOU'RE GOING TO STUTTER AND SHAKE AND FORGET EVERYTHING AND PRONOUNCE SOMETHING WRONG!!1!!!1". The one advantage is that my audience will know nothing about my subject so hopefully I won't be completely ripped apart if I get something wrong, but my supervisor will be marking and I also have to do it twice. I was told its 10 minutes long but some people are saying 20 minutes! Oh great...If any of you have any presentation tips, please tell me? Much appreciated!

I was going to draw this outfit to put up along with this but I didn't have time :/ Will next time though! :S
Also if you live in England have you been watching X Factor? What do you think of Katie Waissel? (Personally I hate her, I used to be able to tolerate her but now it's grown into hatred. Yes it's pathetic and immature but whatever, AIDEN WENT :'''( ok) Let me know!

If you didn't already know my favourite blog is cupcakesandcashmere, Emily is a stunning woman and I love her style. She has such an effortless poise about her and I'm so envious at her talent of being able to pull anything off. She's definitely my style inspiration.
Number 8 and 9 are my favourite just because of that zara leather pleated skirt. Please find your way into my wardrobe? Much obliged. But seriously I think it's such a staple! If I had £70 lying around I would run to Zara and grab that skirt. Unfortunately last time I checked the website didn't have my size. If they add more I'm definitely asking it for christmas!

Today is Eid al Adha so to any Muslim readers: Eid Mubarak! Have a wonderful day! I would've gone to an Eid party but my brother and sister is "ill". My sister just admitted she wanted to go and was feeling better but it's too late now. What do I have to put up with...

009: la semaine


Holiday Sugar Cookies Candle from TK Maxx (smells so good. My parents hate it), Philosophy; The Present (Like a primer), Cyclax Moistura Day & Night creams, my refreshed cork-board currently sporting a host of goodies from the Vogue Star Issue. That Christopher Kane Nova dress is SO stunning and my dream dress. And of course my huge girl crush Emma Watson is on there; so stunning. Sheep slippers from Primark: SO DAMN COSY.

The last two pictures are a preview of what's coming up. I've been going through something tough. I've been pushed into science to do Medicine and at first I thought that was what I wanted but obviously not. I can go to India and just join Dentistry but I'm scared. What if I hate it? I'm already hating Science right now, more and more every day. Sometimes I just feel like taking a foundation year in Art so I can just do all the things I have a talent for doing. What if I'm just wasting this talent? I feel so inadequate next to my friends who have a talent for science, a passion for it. They somehow just absorb it, and I can do the same with arts, fashion, etc. I don't know I'm seriously confused. Anyhow to keep me sane in my breaks between studying I'll be drawing outfits. So instead of pictures of an outfit you'll get drawings. What do you think? I just think I'm not really a modelly type person for this blog :/ Maybe when I get a bit more confidence? Who knows.

Yussss I've reached my 100th post. /nobigdeal This is just a teeny tiny post and a little hello. I watched some amazing fireworks last night and now I'm sitting at home worrying about my EPQ presentation. I always worry about presentations, I hate them! AAAH and it's quite far away too and I hate that. I want it over and done with pleeeaaase.
