The Top-Knot

Source unknown
You know how much I love the John Frieda hair tutorials, I still get loads of questions about the halo plait I did a while back! One hairstyle which I love is the top knot. It's so effortlessly chic and I love making it as messy as possible without looking like a homeless person. My hair is very thick though and I find it never lasts throughout the day, however this tutorial shows how to use one of those hair "donuts" to achieve it! I can't wait to try it properly and show you guys! Do you already own a hair donut?

I was asked by the John Frieda team to post this video but I am not being paid by them to do this. Also they do not affect my opinion in any way and I am posting genuinely because I love the video and thought you guys would too!

  2. I suck so much at top knots. I think my problem is how layered my hair is, I'm trying desperately to grow it all out!

  5. I don't use hair donuts, I'm pretty good in creating a top knot with my own hair :)

  8. I have got to try this! I picked up a hair doughnut for a £1 in Primark the other day but I've yet to try this style, my hair might be too layered still! xx

  9. They make it look so simple.

I have a donut myself, but the material might be a bit too rough and stiff, because the bun looks like it's going to jump off my head whenever I use it. Or it might have something to do with how layered the hair is.

Your hair! It's so long and thick. Do you curl it or is it all natural?
