Competition: Passion For Fashion

I've decided to enter the MoneySuperMarket #PassionForFashion competition! It's so much fun creating the outfits, so why not? What do I have to lose, right? All you do is create outfits for each of the category (try to make them as "bargainous" as possible!) and post it. Go here for more information http://www.moneysupermarket.com/home-insurance/passion-for-fashion/. Hope you all enter!
PARTY
Dress: River Island (£30)
Ring: New Look (£3.99)
Nails: Models Own Hedonist (£5)
Belt: ASOS (£6)
Lipstick: Topshop Sartorial (£8)
Clutch: ASOS (£18)
Heels: New Look (£19.99)

 TOTAL: £90.98

I originally picked this dress from Topshop for £60 but I saw this very similar one from River Island for half the price and had to include it instead! When going out for parties or evening events I prefer wearing a dress/top that is quite a statement and then pairing it with simple accessories. The heels, belt and ring pull the outfit together and the belt gives the shapeless dress some structure. I'll admit the clutch isn't exactly "simple" but how could I not include it? (It's reduced to £18 too which is so perfect!) Finally, since I find myself going very boring colour-wise with my outfits I always slap on some colour on my nails and lips to liven it up a bit. On the page it looks very dressy and classy which may not fit all party themes but with your hair down and messy the outfit can instantly become a little bit more casual.

FIRST DATE
Dress: Dahlia (£65)
Clutch: New Look (£12.99)
Shoes: New Look (£19.99)
Bangle: ASOS (£6)
Lipstick: MUA (£1)

I splurged on the dress! It's quite pricey but look how gorgeous it is! I feel like for dates you should be comfortable in what you wear. You spend most of the time nervous about things so why add clothes/shoes/makeup problems to the list? The dress is a pinafore style which is so cute and playful, perfect for a first date! The shoes add some height but they're appropriate and easy to walk in so you won't be tripping about. Accessories are minimal in this look as you don't want to look overdone. A slick of red lipstick will pull the whole look together and voila! All set for a lovely first date!

CASUAL
Top: H&M (£7.99)
Skirt: H&M (£19.99)
Bag: Zara (£25.99)
Boots: H&M (£29.99)
Beanie: H&M (£3.99)
Necklace: New Look (£5.99)

My excuse for the overload of H&M in this look is a) I got the H&M brochure a week ago and this is the exact outfit I planned in my head and b) it's genuinely where I buy most of my casual clothes from. I love fitted striped tops, I think they're so flattering especially when tucked into a skirt. This lace skirt is a perfect item because it can be dressed down (as shown in this example) or dressed up with a blouse and some heels. The boots scream edgy which again tones down the outfit and they're so comfy they look perfect for every day. There's already a lot going on with the stripes and the textured skirt so accessories are minimal. A nice classic bag, a slouchy beanie and a simple necklace. I love this outfit because it's something I'd definitely wear and I plan to own each of these items soon!

OFFICE
Top: Topshop (£36)
Trousers: Zara (£35.99)
Bag: Warehouse (£28)
Bracelets: ASOS (£8)
Shoes: New Look (£15.99)

Peplum seems to be everyone's current obsession and as much as I hate to succumb to the mainstream, it really is perfect for office-wear. It borders just in between fashionable and appropriate which is a win-win situation for our working ladies. As much as I think skirts do look great with peplum tops I think a nice fitted pair of trousers give a beautiful, lengthened silhouette to the body so I picked this great subtly patterned pair from Zara. Of course a large handbag is a must-have to stuff all the necessities and I think this very Longchamp-esque bag from Warehouse is perfect (and such a bargain!). I picked low heeled shoes because things can be quite fast-paced in an office environment so you need shoes that are comfy and walkable but also stylish. A pet peeve of mine is the sound of jangling bangles and necklaces hitting against desks, so I've reduced the jewellery in this outfit. Just a pair of rose-gold chain bracelets which looks great against the monochromatic colours.

OUTDOORS
Shirt: H&M (£12.99)
Jumper: New Look (£22.99)
Jeans: H&M (£29.99)
Boots: Select (£18)
Rings: ASOS (£15)
Necklace: Kukee (£5)

When you think of outdoors, you immediately think of jackets. I haven't included one in this, instead I've gone for a jumper over a crisp white shirt. Everyone on this planet seems to own a camo jacket and while I did want one, I'm finding it being overdone already. So when I spotted this camo jumper, I knew it was perfect for A/W and perfect for casual outdoors. I decided to pair it with a shirt because I can imagine it looking really cute with the collar poking out. Of course, I threw in a gold collar necklace to glam it up a bit and this one is such a bargain for a fiver. The boots are an amazing dupe for the Acne boots but these ones are only £18! Everyone needs to run out and buy a pair. Now when I go out, I love stacking a whole load of rings on my hands. I think it looks great and this pack is wonderful with a nice variety of styles and colours. For bottoms I chose ripped jeans for a grungy look and that's it! This is my outdoors outfit which, if I could, I'd be walking out of the house wearing now.

I had loads of fun doing this! Have any of you entered? Link me up! :-)
