Voldy

T-shirt: Skreened
Jeggings: River Island
Necklace: Vivianne Westwood
Bracelet: Topshop
Bag: Zara
I've had a bit of a blog breakdown! I had so many outfit posts in draft but I realised I didn't really like many of them. I've decided I'm only going to post outfit posts when I REALLY love them! I love this tshirt, it's my favourite (I'm a potterhead if you didn't know) and I also succumbed to the Blogger hype over this Zara bag. There was only one left hanging up on a shelf as a display and I shamelessly grabbed it. I did "umm" and "ahh" over it for a while but I'm so glad I bought it. I just LOVE it! There's something so classic and designer about it. I think it'll be replacing my other black Zara bag for a while (I'm so fickle).

In other news I finished Ugly Betty. I only watched season 3 and 4 because I just couldn't watch the first one for some reason (I find it hard to watch old seasons when I've already watched the newer ones! Not sure why...) and I was so upset that Betty and Daniel didn't even kiss! Yes this is the extent of my life...I should be reading Uni books but I'm not. C'est la vie!

Hope you're all well!

Make-Up: #001

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 4, Chambor Foundation Powder in Dual Walnut, Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Base, The Balm Frat Boy Blush, No 7 Vital Enlightening Highlighter, L'Oreal Superliner, L'Oreal Telescopic Mascara, HD Brows Set in Foxy, Stila Lip Twinset in Demi Tulip
Another new feature! Sometimes I like to experiment with make-up. The make-up blog might be taking a little break for now as I haven't bought any beauty products in ages! Let me know if you'd like to see more "face-of-the-days". Currently I'm spending my days watching Ugly Betty. I never watched it when it was on so I'm catching up. I'm totally hooked and Amanda is my fave!

Spotlight - Glamorous

I've wanted to do this feature for a long time and I'm finally doing it! In recent years, online shopping has exploded. There are so many online stores with affordable clothes and accessories nowadays - but sometimes we participate in some trial and error without even realising and find that some stores are not what they seem to be. Be it horrific delivery, bad customer service, inflated postage prices or badly packaged goods, sometimes we just feel a bit cheated. Now I'm a bit of an online shopping addict. I spend nearly all of my time on the internet and online stores are actually quite dangerous for me. I've experienced a LOT of online stores and luckily most of my experiences have been good. So I'm going to jot down my experiences for you, letting you know what you're in for. From that you can decide if you'd like to order from them! Let me know what you think of this feature. I'm excited!

If you read blogs pretty much all the time then I highly doubt that Glamorous has slipped your radar. They're featured on lots of blogs and they've hit even more popularity from their Disco Pant dupes which are creating a storm (if you'd like to know how they compare to the real deal, Lily has a post). Now as a blogger I trust a lot of other bloggers. However as a reader I can understand how you'd feel seeing so many bloggers being gifted from Glamorous. You might think "Can I really trust their word when they've been gifted it?". It's a bit of a difficult spot in blogging but more about that some other time.

WHAT
I have been gifted items from Glamorous multiple times but I've also ordered from them. I ordered this dress a month or two ago because it looked simply lovely! There was a free shipping offer at the time and I also used a code (GLAMOROUS20 for 20% off, don't think it works anymore but there's a 25% off code at the moment use GLAMHOLIDAY) so I got it at quite a good price.

DELIVERY
It came on the second day after I ordered which is great delivery! The dress was well packaged (sorry I didn't take photos!) and I was pleased with how quickly it came.

THE ITEM
Unfortunately the dress was a tad small for me at the arms. The rest of the dress fit perfectly and looked really lovely too. The quality was good, nothing astounding but worth the price. The dress was lined and there were no rips or tears. I contacted them and said I was going to return it and I returned it the next day.

RETURNS
It has a freepost label so it was really easy (if you're international returns are not free). A few days later I got an e-mail confirming that they received the parcel and that the return would be processed in a week. I checked my bank statement a week later and the return had been processed! I was happy with the hassle free returns.

EXCHANGE
Unfortunately Glamorous does not offer exchanges which is a bit of a shame. This means you'd have to return the item and then order again which is a bit tedious.

OVERALL
Overall I'm really happy with my experience with Glamorous. They're not the kind of brand who only offers impeccable service to bloggers while giving mediocre service to customers, they are very good with everyone! They have a large variety of stock to suit everyone and their quality is good for the price. So far I've only seen sizes 8-14 which isn't such a huge range but maybe they'll got more sizes with time.

What do you think of Glamorous?

Eyes Open

Top: Zara
Skirt: Primark
Scarf: eBay
Hat: New Look
Necklace: Vivianne Westwood
Shoes: New Look

Ok in my defence, it was really overcast today and it started raining. How would I know it would randomly get sunny? Besides I bet it'll become cloudy and gloomy again! SIGH le british weather~ I can't keep up!

Anyway I really love this top, it's so soft and flowy and comfy! I never wear hats but I thought I'd pop this on for fun. I really want a beanie hat for this fall/winter! They're so cute!

Today I had a horribly unhealthy lunch and this evening I think we're going to see fireworks! Hope everyone's having a good weekend.

India Photodiary

L-R: Waiting in the airport, interesting choice of shoes for the airport, temperatures in Abu Dhabi, my cousin, another cousin, Iftar on a rooftop - the view was lovely, another cousin with a pretty smile, playing chess with my dad, train journey, on a houseboat, houseboat driver, a massive conference houseboat floating by, another cousin, my cousin's ADORABLE smile, their little makeshift car, she's so adorbzz, driving home, Maybelline Kajal (love), getting my henna done for Eid, one hand done, palms, backs, after a film on Eid, my Uncle's housewarming (his house is AMAZING), flowers for our hair, my cousin again, me and my cousin, I love this one SO much, it was her housewarming, the two of them crack me up, again, my cousin and her umbrella, a random baby was put on my lap while his mum went to eat, a preview of the kind of houses you see in India, back in Heathrow.

Hope you enjoy that! If you don't follow me on Instagram then DO! My username is "shabna".

I'm back!

Shirt: Glamorous*
Jeggings: River Island (sale)
Necklace: Topshop (sale)
Ring: Mum's
Bracelet: Gift from Greece
Sandals: Zara (old/sale)
excuse the really bad lighting!!

YAY I'm back! I actually had such a wonderful time in India! I go every year and for the past 5 or 6 years I've rejoiced when coming back but this year I had tears in my eyes. It was awful saying goodbye to my granddad and my cousins. India was different this year but I'm not sure why. However, after a tiring journey on Etihad (it's no Emirates!) with some bratty Arab kids in front of me I finally landed at Heathrow and then a few hours later crashed into my bed.

Before crashing into my bed however, when we opened our front door we were met by a MASSIVE pile of post. One of the packages was this blouse/shirt from Glamorous that I picked out. It's huge and maybe a bit too oversized but I love how it looks when belted. It could probably be worn as a dress too with tights but it may be a teeny bit too short then. I really love the colours though! I will say with this shirt it can be really easy to look "pyjama-ish". I'd recommend tucking it into shorts/skirts but if you wanted to wear it loose then pair it with leggings or jeans and heels so it looks dressed up.

For those of you who do not follow me on Instagram (it's @shabna) or who don't have instagram, I will be posting a India PhotoDiary in the next few days so look out for that! Hope you're all well and thanks for all the tweets, formsprings and follows :D

A Little Update

All photos by me! The quality has been downgraded via the upload :(
I know I said I'd update this blog as often as I could while out here but I've been bad! Ramadan has been tiring me out and I'm so bad with keeping up with my appearance over here. I scrape my hair up and just line my eyes with kohl. I'm SO embarrassed of the fact I bought over two bags of makeup that I'm not even using! Shameful.

However I want to do something with my days! At the moment I've started sketching out a plan for a book I've wanted to write for AGES. I'm also going to take more pictures and hopefully do a "holiday photos" series. There's such amazing scenery to capture here! I'm also going on a train journey next week and I MAY be going on a houseboat (I've been before and it's FABULOUS). I took some photos in my front garden which you can see above. What do you think of them? I'm quite proud of the flower shots! As you can see my house is very run down as it's been years but I still love it!

My sleep cycle is absolutely awful this year. I get to sleep around 3am (I haven't bothered with waking up to eat preparing for the fast) and wake up around 12/1pm. The first week I was getting up at 3pm! It's so bad. I'm actually craving to come back to England! I miss my routine and I really regret missing the London Olympics! I feel a bit silly to be honest :/ Here's hoping I can go to an Olympics event at one point in my life!

I hope you're all well! Thanks for sticking with me.
