I’ve picked up a few new make-up bits in the last couple of months so I thought I’d display them here! I haven’t used all of them so they’re mainly first impressions but if you want a proper review then just let me know!
First up we have the Kat Von D Shade & Light Brush from Sephora and have wanted this for a little while. It is a bit pricy at around £23 but I justify it by thinking you’re getting two brushes for the price of one! (Lord help me…) The bristles are so soft and I can’t wait to try contour with this. This is definitely strictly for powder – the brush is slightly too flimsy to buff anything in that’s like cream formula.
Another one…I’ve wanted for a while is the Naked Basics Palette. I find matte shades super chalky and ashy on me but this palette is so buttery and flattering! Serious love for the formulation of these shadows – well done UD! I love Naked2 and Faint the most <3 I also got the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray but I haven’t tried this yet! My make-up always slides off my face – I must touch it a lot or something?! Anyway I’ll report back about this one (ps this is the travel size).
I got suckered in by the Sephora goodies by the counter and picked up a Chloe Eau De Parfum roll on and the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara! I love the Chloe fragrance anyway so I’m happy to have it in a roll on form! I do find it doesn’t last as long on me though but it’s not too long to top up. The mascara is still a bit 50/50 for me, I love the bristles but I feel like the formula is too dry? I’m going to keep using it but for now I only really make it work by pairing it with another mascara. Maybe overhyped?
I amped up my base with the NARS Pro Prime Radiance Enhancer which the MUA had used on me when matching me for NARS Sheer glow but oh my lord this primer is just so lovely. If you want a glow at all times – you need this. I detest primers because of that silicone feeling but this is so creamy and glowy, a must have for dry skin! I also got the NARS Creamy Concealer in Biscuit which I’m really loving too. It has a peachy tone which is great for dark circles – it’s pricy but also worth it!
And finally I picked up a pair of Huda Beauty Gisele Lashes in the Dubai Sephora – I’ve yet to wear these out but I have tried them on and they are certainly unique. Still not sure if I can pull them off as I have quite small eyelids – I’ll post pics if I do! 🙂
